De Pijp never drew me in with picture-postcard charm. What brought me here was quite the opposite: a street corner without canals, without picturesque gables – but with that peculiar light catching in the dark facades, almost becoming architecture itself.

The challenge was to keep the place recognisable without explaining it. No vanishing point, no landmark – only the interplay between what the light reveals and what it conceals.

Alternatively, you can purchase a print license for just €19.99. You will receive a high-resolution file that you can have printed at the print shop of your choice. This gives you complete freedom to choose the size (longest side up to about 2 meters) and the material to be printed on.
