POTSDAM_26_09: Altes Rathaus

Oil on Dibond, 50 x 50 x 0.3 cm, 2026
€ 999 (frame option)

Alter Markt at dusk, shortly before the end of summer. The view is of the Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall), framed by the Stadtschloss and the Barberini. I was fascinated by the yellow-brown undertone, and by the golden reflections of the sun in the windows. Yet that evening a stormy wind swept across the square, a first harbinger of autumn. The painting shows only the warm light. It keeps the wind to itself.
