POTSDAM_26_06: Platten und Segelboote

Oil on Dibond, 30 x 30 x 0.2 cm, 2026
Original sold

Potsdam West, on the banks of the Havel, looking across towards the centre. What lights up above the treetops are the prefab tower blocks on Breite Straße. In front of them lie the sailboats, mast by mast. It was exactly this neighbourhood that drew me in. The blue hour allowed me to reduce the motif to the bare essentials. The windows of the buildings and the masts of the boats carry the picture. Everything else dissolves into the gathering night.
